Light as air! Kota Doria is handwoven in Kaithoon near, Kota in Rajasthan. It is said that weavers from Mysore in Karnataka were brought to Kotah, in the mid 17th century, during the Mughal empire. Chikankari is a traditional embroidery style from Lucknow, India. Chikan began as a type of white-on-white (or whitework) embroidery. It uses more than 30 different embroidery stitches and patterns like Tepchi, Bakhiya, Hool, Zanzeera, Rahet, Banarsi, etc.
